Cloudy Group on the Road at the SLCC Convention!

Cloudy Group recently exhibited at the SLCC (Society of Local Council Clerks) National Conference held in Lincolnshire.

Over the past year, Cloudy Group have been working with local councils finding the best IT and Security Solutions. Attending an event such as SLCC is invaluable and enables us to speak directly to councils and their clerks face to face.

The conference theme for this year’s event was to engage, empower and exceed within your council, and was opened by none other than Eddie the Eagle!

Over the two days we enjoyed talking to Council Clerks from all over the country about the IT and Marketing Solutions that Cloudy Group can bring to Councils. Many of the delegates were interested in how we can help keep their councils more secure over the internet, and how we can keep them safe in the threat of a cyber-attack. David was also showing delegates how the impressive, award winning Swyx cloud-based telephony solution can work through your laptop!

Neil spoke in depth to clerks about how we can create specialist websites for councils, that are simple and easy to use and how members of the public can access minutes, book halls and easily see events happening in the local area. He also spoke about how social media can benefit councils of any size.

On our stand we ran a competition to win a hamper! The lucky winner was Chris Robson from Sandy Town Council! Congratulations Chris! Your hamper is on its way to you!

We attended the Gala Dinner on the Wednesday evening which was kindly sponsored by Came and Company Local Council Insurance. It gave our Managing Director, the opportunity to show off his moves on the dancefloor and we got to speak to more Clerks about their industry and the challenges their facing in today’s world.

All in all, it was a fabulous event and we can’t wait to work with the SLCC more in 2019.

We are going to be attending NALC (National Association of Local Councils) in just a couple of weeks’ time in Milton Keynes, where we hope to see more councils and talk to them about IT and Marketing and how we can help them.
